R7450 will not let me control access (block)
Followed all the suggested steps:
Security > Access Control > "Block" button greyed out.
Add button is not greyed out but it will not let me add an IP.
Is it due to the expired service period of this model?
Just makes me wonder...

The R7450 router is not shown as "End of Service" on Netgear's official page:

Can you post a screen shot of this?
Access Control has to be enabled before changes can be made. (I, personally, never enable Access Control because the only posts I read about it relate problems. Have never seen a post, "Gosh. Access Control is SO GREAT!!!")
