R7800 - Used as switch and media server - changing third octet
I have recently upgraded my router/modem to a faster one. I want to use (and I did have it set up at one point) the R7800 as a switch (no WiFi, no DHCP) and the readyshare abilities to serve up movie...
why not simply use it in access point mode?
you could disable the wireless or leave it enabled either as a backup or even something to take a load off the main wifi.
Its a pretty rock solid router
