you could try to roll back a firmware version and see if that resolves the issue that would let us know if it is a bug in the current firmware.

the device is still under warranty for the router till 2021 and using custom firmware would void it , if that's still correct.

For at least a year, based on experience, Netgear QA is non existent. Test for bug fixes? Don't make me laugh.
- wizzkid22Oct 31, 2019Aspirantjust rolled back to 1.0.2.62 and guess what? using duck duck go and the device priority is working, thankyou DarrenM and myersw it appears that the 1.0.2.63 beta version has a bug , selected my devices that needed priority changes for gaming and it stays on what is picked, happy it's back and no more laggy devices.

Glad your are up and working again. With the shoddy firmware I would turn off auto update if not already off and be very carefull with doing any firmware updates with expecting to have to drop back. ;(
