R7800 Router Iphone app or MacBook genie app?

I have a Knighthawk R7800-100NPS/AC2600 router.

 

Do I still need the Genie app on my Macbook?  Can I delete it?

 

Or should I just use the Knighthawk app on my Iphone?

 

Which is better and which is updated?

    I usually prefer just logging in through the browser and not using any of the apps.
