I recieved an update from the support team. The response is that my router is out of date therefore can't receive the new firmware. I only purchased the router last year. It's just out of hardware warranty by a couple of weeks. The recommended solution is to purchase new hardware. Seriously, this seems like a pretty shrewd business practice. Instead of fixing the firmware update, the company is forcing the customer to purchase a new router.
