I’m having issues getting onto some websites so I contacted xfinity. They ran some tests and I was told my router was configured for IPv6. I checked various post and it looks like I can go into a website to enable IPv6 on my NETGEAR router.
Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
But went I go there I get a warning that the site is not private and may harm my PC or mobile phone if I proceed. In fact when I tried from my PC I got a bunch of pop ups with warnings that my PC was being attacked. Is there any other way to configure the router for IPv6 other than going to this website?
  • Try 192.168.1.1

Those links are valid links to the routers web page and browsers don't like it due to the routers site certificate has not been upated so you can skip the browser warning. You'll probably see same thing with the 192.168.1.1 address as well.

    Just continue to the site.

  • Correction. I was told my router was not configured for IPv6. I’ve restarted my modem and router and that didn’t correct the issue. I’ve check my router for updates and it’s current.
