R8000 - slow wired/wifi

My internet speed just got upgraded today to 600mbit down / 200 mbit up. The speed was tested and working fine through Linksys Velop on the ground floor of my house.

But now i'm trying to make my old R8000 Nighthawk x6 AC3200 Smart Router can get to those speeds on the 1st floor of my house - unfortunately not. I ran speedtest on Wired connection: 95mbit up / 95mbit down. Same for wireless connection: 95mbit up / 95mbit down.

I ran the router's internal speedtest (Dynamic QoS) and I'm also getting the 95mbit/95mbit.

I have upgraded the firmware today and restarted the router. From the router settings, Wifi speed is adjusted to go up to 600Mbit on 2.4Ghz and up to 1300mbit on 5Ghz. I don't see what other settings I can change.

Any ideas?

i would look at the cable that's connecting them. Your speeds seem to imply that you're stuck on the 10/100 fast ethernet and not gigabit 10/100/1000.  Your cable needs to be Cat 5e or great. A standard cat 5 cable is only rated 10/100.

My cable from router to wall outlet is Cat 5E. I'm now worried that he frigging cable from the wall outlet to the optical box downstairs isn't....which is a big problem. The house came pre-installed with internet wall outlets in every room. I'm having my provider's tech support over tomorrow. Will let you know what they say. It's probably going to suck.

It's low voltage. You should just be able to remove the cover and there should be enough cable inside to see what it is.
