R8000 Firmware updates maybe not working?

When I use the app to check for firmware udpates, it continues to say that I'm on V1.0.4.68_10.1.75.  And whcn I click on "Check for updates", it always comes back with no new updates.  I've had the unit for 6 months now, and it's always been that version.  How can I tell when I new firmware version is released, and install it?  

 

I tried searching the support site for newest firmware versions.  But all are a lower number than the above listed one the app says I have.

    You are on the current version. The website does list that version and it is current.

    I'm actually impressed netgear is still updating this router as it was released in 2014. Its 7 years old and still gets the occassional update.
