R8000 Internet Accessibility

I have a DVR camera system attached to a Netgear R8000 router/wifi system. What do I need to do so I can access the DVR from the Internet? The DVR has it's own internal IP address.

       I'm happy for you.  What is it?  Maker?  Model number?  Any useful
    information at all might be helpful.

       That might depend on how you access it from your LAN.  About which,
    with my weak psychic powers, I know nothing.

       Everything on your LAN does.
