R8000 Nighthawk X6 AC3200 only gets half internet speed
My ISP bumped my internet speed from 26mbps to 50mbps. My cable modem is hardwired to my computer. When I run tests I still get 26mbps. I called my ISP and they had me bypass the router at which time...
Thanks for the advice guys. I did finally get a chance to reset the router to default and it solved the problem.
As searay said, go back to default settings and see if you still lose the speed. There are some features that you cannot enable without also limiting your network speed thru the router (e.g., QOS, traffic filtering, port forwarding/triggering). You can search the community posts for "CTF speed" and find other topics that discuss router speed loss.
