Can you provide some more details like your ISP and any error messages that are happening?

_Which_ "the steps and instruction"?
> [...] it seems router is not accepting my ISP credential
"seems"? "not accepting" is not a useful problem description. It
does not say what you did. It does not say what happened when you did
it. As usual, showing actual actions (commands) with their actual
results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than
vague descriptions or interpretations.
Assuming that you really do have a problem with your PPPoE
credentials, are there any special characters in them? Various Netgear
routers (firmware versions) have had problems with them over the years.
Can your ISP tell you what it's seeing?
- renielnuedaNov 26, 2020AspirantThe steps I made is the usual Nighthawk app step setting app router,
Turn off modem
Turn on again
Plug nighthawk
Then Etc.
After that I get error then the app told me to enter my ISP credential manually,
My ISP credential is like this username e3079137, pass: ruln3173 its like that, I have a linksys router which I did the same setup but having no problem.
I tried the Acess Point mode in the nighthawk it is working fine so it doesn't have problem with the internet cable and all
I have researched few in youtube having same problem, I tried downgrading firmware, update it the same thing error- antinodeNov 26, 2020Guru

Still wondering.
> The steps I made is the usual Nighthawk app [...]Have you tried using a web browser instead of the app? Visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for
Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.> Turn off modem
What, exactly, is "modem"?
> My ISP credential is like this [...]
Letters and digits should be harmless.
> [...] I have a linksys router which I did the same setup but having
> no problem. With my weak psychic powers, I can't see the instructions from your
ISP, or the settings on your (unspecified) "a linksys router". Was
there a VLAN involved?> I have researched few in youtube having same problem, [...]
Thanks for the helpful links.> [...] I tried downgrading firmware, update it the same thing error
Think, for a moment, about how little useful information that
non-description conveys to the non-psychics in your audience."error"? Is there an error _message_? See "not a useful problem
description [...]", above.- renielnuedaNov 26, 2020Aspirant
Hi bro,
if you don't know what is modem, then you cannot help me.
you are not as technical as I am, I have 10 years experience in networking so I know what I am doing,
the thing is this R8000 router wont even comunicate with the modem.
but bro if you know what modem is, then don't bother replying.
Thanks
