R8000 QOS

hi everyone,

Can anyone guide me to setup this R8000 router to prioritze IPTV. I have gigabit internet and my iptv service always buffers, like every 30 to 50 seconds and im bout ready to smash it lol btw  everything is connected via ethernet...router is in study and tv is other end of house.

    What modem/gateway do you have? 

    The IPTV is what device exactly?

    And its hardwired in?

      So I have the r8000 router..ichave my iptv service as an app on my LG 4k TV. Everything is hard-wired

        The R8000 is the router. 

        What modem/gateway is the r8000 connected to?

    Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Look for the model number on the label on the device.

    Search the manual for IPTV.


    You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

     

    If that isn't what you need, then you'll have to narrow down why the iptv service always buffers. Maybe the people who supply the iptv service can help with settings you need on your router.
