R8000 Readyshare DLNA Media Server
I see there are some older posts about the removal of DLNA, but I am posting to request that Netgear bring it back. I recently upgraded my router from a WNDR3700 to a R8000 and a big reason I stayed ...
I finally saw the firmware release notes that alert customers that this router no longer suppot DLNA, among other stuff. This is too bad and I am wondering, aside from rolling back to earlier firmware (which version would this be?), what other means do I have to share media to my gaming consoles and TVs. Any information would be appreciated.
My last contact with Netgear technical assistance suggested that re-instating this facility is not on the roadmap for this product.
Too bad.
