(R8000) Stopped access, do not reset, do not update firmware
Yesterday, 06/11/2020, after updating the firmware to version 1.0.4.52_10.1.67, the problem occurred.
The router has lost access.
I cannot access through www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1.
I tried to reset to the factory default anyway (7 seconds, 30-30-30). The LED is not flashing in amber.
The LED remains in amber for a while. Then it flashes with white LED.
I tried to reinstall the firmware on a router without the setup, with the TFTP2 tool, but I always get the message "unable to get responses from the server".
I get ping 192.168.1.1 return through the prompt. It's the only sign I'm getting.
Any suggestion ?
I'm out of ideas
Is there a reason you're using tftp2?
also, are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

I used TFTP2 because of this article.

Your recommendation to enable TFTP worked very well.
I managed to reflash the firmware.
The equipment became accessible again.
Thank you.Glad to hear you got it working again!
