If you just turned off the wifi, that does not disable the router.

Bridge mode = modem only on a modem/router.
If the provider has disabled bridge mode, how have you disabled the router component?
Sorry, the bridge mode in enabled on my modem, so the wifi and router functions of themodem are disabeld.
