R8000P firmware V1.4.1.50_1.3.10 update issue

I have been delaying a suggested router upgrade from V1.4.1.50_1.3.10.

Today I finally did it and first it said it did a lauguage update and then went into the hour glass 2 minutes firmware update.

It never came back so after about 10 minutes of not being able to connect to the router or get to the internet, I rebooted the router.  I was able to connect to the router but not the Internet.  I rebooted my Cox modem and then rebooted the R8000P again and things slowly came back to functioning BUT it still said there is a new firmware update.

I don't want to have this issue again.  Anyone have any suggestions?
