What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Is Armor, Circle, or Traffic Meter enabled or has those ever been enabled?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

The modem from my ISP is a Zhone model 6381-A5-200. I have done a reboot on the modem, router and computer. The LAN cable has been changed to a CAT 6. The only thing I have not done is a factory reset on the router. I tried Armor, but didn't care for it, so canceled it.

Your model modem seems to only support 100Mbps. The R8000P is supporting of 1000Mpbs.
You might consider checking on your modem. Might ask the ISP if they have something supporting of 1000Mpbs on the WAN port. Ask for a stand alone modem with out any built in router as well.
