R8000P Nighthawk router not working with Eero Pro 6E
After trading-in my Zyxel modem with the Eero pro 6E, my R8000P Nighthawk router no longer works. My ISP is Altafiber and I'm using fiber optics. Cat 6 is my cable from my ONT. Any help would be ap...
- Since the eero is managing DHCP, it'll have the address in it's attached devices page. Look that up in the eero and use it to access it
Well, I have good news and bad news:
I "successfully" used www.routerlogin.net to change from router to AP mode.
The internet is working.
ONT to eero to Nighthawk.
However, I cannot access the Nighthawk. www.routerlogin.net takes me to a Netgear page.
Any thoughts on how to access the Nighthawk?

Do the four ethernet ports on the back of the Nighthawk now serve as a hub? Switch? Or Something else?
And can I now use the Nighthawk for a dedicated 2.4 GHz wifi for example?
- Hub/switch basically the same thing. It'll work just like it did before but it's not managing the routing features, the eero is.
You can set it as a dedicated 2.4ghz or leave it's smart connect on. Up to you Got it. Thank you again.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
