R8000P Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Firmware Upgrade Issue
Hi. I used the Netgear web based portal to upgrade my R8000P Nighthawk X6 AC3200. When the upgrade completed the router would no longer start up. It appears to be in a continuous seaching loop.
I have tried to reset the firmware to factory settings by pressing the reset for as long as 15-20 seconds. Also under the light chnages to amber. Pressing the reset for 3 seconds, as well as 7 seconds. Nothings works. Any suggestions
I have downloaded the firmware and saved it on a USB. Is there any way to load this without having access to the software?
Any help appreciated.

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Hi
Thanks for providing the information.
I have tried to use the recovery steps detailed, and even the utube video, but to date I have not been able to get it working.
Out of frustration I have gone out and bought an RAX8. BTW it works great.
I'll keep trying to get the R8000 working but I'm worried it may stay a brick.

Where is it failing in the process?
What are the led's on it doing?
What errors are you getting?
TFTP and nmrpflash are sensitive to timings. You might try it at different periods during the process
