R8000P QOS won't scan speed or update performance database

I think that feature died years ago.
How fast is your Internet speed? QoS is an old tool that was there to let gamers to hog their Internet bandwidth. These days gthe advice to anyone with speed over 300 Mbps, some say less, that QoS is more a hindrance than a help. It strains the router's CPU and slows things down generally.
Do you have any reason to think that QoS would benefit you? Or do you just fancy the misleading label? I say that because someone else brought it up here recently and concluded that QoS would be no use to them.
