R8000P Router WiFi Consistently Drops

what actual versions did you install?
The one i usually recommend for the R8000P is version 1.4.1.42.
reason why is the newer version have netgear armor and some of the r8000p's struggle with it. Not sure why.
Try installing that version, doing a factory reset, and install it. Don't use a backup configuration for the install.
what modem/gatway do you have?

I have tried .66, .64, .62 and .50. I have had these issues with all of those versions but they have gotten worse with each upgrade. If .42 is the most stable, I'll go back to .42 for now and see if that is any better. I am pretty sure I was on .42 before and had the issues.
I always do a factor reset pre and post FW upgrade incase theres some residual junk left over. As for modem, I don't think its really relevant here since its a WiFi specific issue, its a TP Link (Can't recall model) modem (without any WiFi capability). This is the only WiFi access point in the house at this point.
