R8000P WiFi capping at <25 mbps on all 3 supported channels 2.4/5g/5g2
I'm capping at <25mbps on 2.4, 5g, and 5g2. These are the speeds while testing directly next to the router on several different devices. I am at a loss here as i've changed channels etc. in attempts ...

Glad it fixed it!
Again, sometimes old settings carried through firmware upgrades can cause issues.
Either way, glad it worked.
If you mark it solved, it keeps others from trying to fix your issue still. :)
A backup is always a good thing to make now that its working well :)

A few things to try.
1. Disabling the BGW doesn't put it in modem only/pass through mode. You either need to use that mode, put the netgear into its DMZ, or put the netgear into access point mode. Otherwise you're in a double nat.
2. Have you tried disabling smart connect on the router?
3. Make sure qos, access control, traffic monitoring, and parental controls are all disabled. If there were enabled, try a reboot. If that doesn't help, try factory resetting and testing speeds with everything still with its default configuration.

I'd try #1 and try the factory reset. its surprising what sometimes a factory reset and testing in the default configuration can fix. :)
whether its an old setting you forgot you'd used thats still retained in qos or anything like that.

Factory reset fixed it, however looking at all the settings they are the same (shrugs)
Thanks :)
