R8000P wifi speeds

I noticed recently that Wifi speeds goes down every couple of days.  Instead of getting about 500mbps, I get about 40mbps.  I reboot the router from the App.  After reboot, I get the high speed.  Ir ...

Is smart connect a setting on the router?

The thing is, after I reboot the router, the same device get more than 300mbps.  It then degrades after a day or so

I checked other solutions and they recommended specifying certain channels for the wifi, which I did.  That didn't help my issue at all.
