Got a new printer (Lexmark CX622). Its fancy auto set up started changing things all over including apparently my wifi password with out telling me what it got changed to. It also screwed up my phones, all the printers in the building, and my server.

Got the phones and server back yesterday but none of the printers will now connect to the network WiFi. Comes up saying invalild password. Basically, how can I reset the password when I no longer know what the password is? I have internet access but no printers get recognized as being on the network. Even printers we had been using before the Lexmark no longer function

  • You may have to change you  wi-fi password, if it's not a hassle. I know.....you have 75 devices...LOL! But seriously, I had a issue with my wi-fi camera not connecting after update, kept telling me my wi-fi password was wrong. Tech support suggested that I change the wi-fi password, so I did, problem solved. Good luck.

      Greetings,

Installing a printer (any brand) will not change your Netgear router's Wi-Fi password.  There is no other provision or way to do this.  A Wi-Fi password can only be changed by logging into the router's admin portal, or by using the NightHawk App.  This a simple fact.
