R8500 Does firmware .156 resolve disconnet issues so I don't have to stay downgraded on .144?

I recently did the trick of downgrading the R8500 firmware to .144 because my internet was disconnecting nearly every day. It finally got to the point where nothing I did worked so I followed so many people's advice and downgraded the firmware. I see Netgear recently came out with a new version, .156. I see it addresses security issues, but did it address the disconnect problems? I would LOVE to upgrade instead of downgrade! Thanks all!

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

You sure it's not your ISP modem/ONT that maybe causing problems?

Do both wired and wireless devices not get internet when this happens?

Any router LED indication seen on when this happens?

I'd troubleshoot that before worrying about the firmware version.

The "downgrade" advice for the R8500 has mostly been to solve very different problems.

"internet was disconnecting " could be down to many things. So you need to provide more detail before anyone can begin to guess what  might be going in.

You could just update the firmware and see what happens. (Save the settings do that you can revert if problems persist.)
