R8500 Nighthawk X8 firmware updates

Hi,

I just got this router and, first thing first, went to check for firmware updates.

I noticed that the last one is quite old by now. 

Anyone asking why I'd look for it:

1. I strongly miss the ability to downscale the Transmit Power (that I've seen in other Netgear routers, including the R7000 if I correctly recall). I'm the kind of guy that, with kids arounds, tries to find a usable trade-off with EMWs. My home environment is quite easy, I don't need to traverse walls or reach far rooms (I'm differently equipped for that), so I don't need full power.
2. Security: there's always demand for patching new exploits. 1 year back is quite ... back.

Has this router's support been officially dismissed so we can't expect any other update any soon ?
