Update:
Nothing I tried fixed the issue and I got really tired of spending so much time trying to fix it that I returned it and made a switch to a different brand...

I’ve reset router to factory settings. Crossing fingers. I’ll report back whether this fixes my issue. Mark time now.

It has been 5 hours now and seems to be working with no issues. Fingers still crossed.

Might contact your ISP to see if they can log into the modem and see if there is any drops coming from their end. If that happens, wifi will drop out most certainly on the r9000. cover all bases sort of thing.

Great idea Aggie! I didn’t think of that. I will see about that tomorrow. As for today, all went well. The router stayed online with no drops. I did notice that it was still warm and the internal fan was not cycling so I placed a fan in front of it again. This brought the speed up from 10 to 50 but still not the 100mbs that I’m used to. Progress. I guess.
