Can you clarify......is it just the UPnP port forwarding that is failing? Can you still access the NAS internall from a client internal to your LAN?
Was that the only issue? Based on the track record with Netgear's firmware and lack of QA / regression testing, I am always hesitant to upgrade. But my security hat tells me to stay current to remediate vulns that exist. So, Im torn at the moment.

Does your wired client can access R9000 or not? how about reboot?wired device become offline is strange, maybe you need to check your ip address and use a static ip to check

Reboots do not work Only previous firmware works. The new firmware only breaks the Synology Nas port forwarding rules. Everything else works. So, no media streaming, local or remote.
