That 100M/Full status on the WAN port should be the current focus.
I am going to push again to make certain your cables are good.
Also, Ethernet port hardware has been known to go bad over time. Either in the router or the modem.
Is the firmware current? Both modem and R9000.
How long has it been since your modem has been reset?

I do have a gigabit connection never reach it but its ok, when it works I get around 750-900mbps but lately I find myself sitting at 80mbps until I restart the router. As soon I restart it, it goes back to full speed but sometimes takes a while other times takes couple minutes to go right back to a slow connection. Also Im running testes on a wired desktop pc.
pls help?!
What is the brand name and model number of the gateway device that is connected between your R9000 and your ISP?
Are you sure your Ethernet cable between your R9000 and the gateway is good? Did you try a different one?
Have you connected your PC to the R9000 through a different output port and run the throughput tests?
What web site are you using to run the throughput tests? Recommend you use the native Ookla application for your computer operating system.

Heloo thank you for such a quick reply. So Im using xfinity/comcast as internet provider, the modem Im using is a motorola SB8200, all wired connection, tried to move ports to no success. One thing I noticed looking at show statistic is that when the problem occurs WAN status goes to 100m/full as soon I restart and its working as it should its set to 1000m/full. Some how the router is going down to 100m on WAN. Which I dont know how to fix it.
This is after a restart and its working as normal.

My first thought is your Ethernet port on the computer is negotiating a lower connection speed with the router. Maybe that is why the problem followed when you connected to a different port on the router.
On the computer, is the Ethernet port a stand alone card or part of the mother board? Either way, make certain the drivers are up to date. Check with the manufacturer, not all hardware updates make it through updates for the operating system.
Hard wires, the cables themselves can go bad. Try a different one. Recommend they be Cat 6.

thanks for the suggestion, I was having this issue with my last computer, just build a new one with an x670e strix motherboard and its doing the same thing with a brand new cable. Ill try updating my ethernet card, then will try different cables. Might as well trying to reset the router to factory settings. Will post back with results, just want to get this fixed, even though it works, sometimes when gaming I dont even realized that my speeds are throttled until I have to download something. But thats bad, I should be getting what Im paying for my internet services.
