Whats the first router?
have you setup the 2nd one you're attaching (the RAX) in access point mode?
Disconnect it from the primary, reboot the RAX and then when you connect your computer to it, open a command prompt and type "ipconfig" The default gateway should be the rax's ip address. Use that to access it and put it in access point modem. Then connect it to your primary router. Use the primary routers lan port to connect to the RAX's WAN port.

Hi, The first Router is a tp-link AX5400 VX420-G2V. Sorry but how to put the RAX into AP Mode? Also do I need to run the Internet Setup Wizard after I connect the LAN-WAN Cable to RAX?
So far it has been running OK today I mean DHCP has not dropped on me like last nite and gave me an APIPA. The RAX decided to setup on a 191.168.0.1 network although I initially changed it to match my AX5400 network but with different DHCP ranges that did not seem to take.
The AX5400 is on a 192.168.1.1 and interestingly enough I can talk to the AX5400 network from the RAX network but not the other way around. If I try to ping 192.168.0.1 from AX5400 it gets a reply from a 10.20.x.x address and "Destination net unreachable" message. I am thinking some static routes required to push through the other direction or the Windows Bitdefender to blame? Thanks.

OK I switched the RAX to AP mode and now I can get to my main router with 192.168.0.1 but I don't know the IP of the RAX in AP Mode. If I disconnect all ports from the RAX and hookup a Laptop to a port, ipconfig shows me a 169.254 address. Does AP mode switch off the DHCP on the RAX? So how to get to the Router login on the RAX now?

When the RAX is in AP mode, the primary router assigns it an IP address. Log into your primary router and look at its attached devices page. It should show the RAX and what IP address it assigned to it. Use that to access it.
