Trying to configure my new Nighthawk not having much luck. I am trying to use it as my second Router. Changed the IP ranges to different ranges of my current router but it goes back to the default ra...

Hi, I could not see any option to get a static IP in AP Mode.
Anyways back to my speed issues just wonder if there is some setting I missed as I tried "Setup - Internet Setup - WAN Preferences and Multi-Gig Internet" and Speedtest appeared to get my speed back but no SSID broadcast to connect to and again I could not connect to the RAX. How can I get my RAX speed to match my AX5400 speed?

There are two ways to fix an IP address. Some network devices have a setting that allows you to fix a "static address" on them.
With an AP device, I "reserve" its IP address on the router. On a Netgear router, that appears on:

>> Setup
>> LAN Setup
In your case, you would do this on the tp-link device.
The router will then allocate the chosen IP address to a device when it connects to the router.
You can then access the AP through its IP address. Of course, that won't work if your RAX is in router mode.

This is back to the double NAT issue.
There is no point in messing around with other settings, especially anything on the Inernet side. You either have to put the RAX into AP mode or the tp-link into "bridge mode".
Have you investigated bridge mode on the modem/router?
Only then will you know if something is preventing you from getting the speed you pay for our of the RAX70.
Anything else is just thrashing about.

Thanks for advice. Will try the AX5400 VX420-G2V in Bridge mode if I can or go back to the RAX in AP mode. However as all appears to working fine with the RAX in Router mode apart from the half speed issue via ethernet cable and not WiFi, do you see any issues runing as is? I was sure when I ran the RAX in AP mode last time the half speed issue remained.
