It *should* work. Just don't use WPS to set it up. 

I say should because ISP supplied routers aren't known to be that great at playing well with others.

Thanks very much. Is there a simple guide to the setting up steps without using WPS please?

    there's guides and even a video on the support site. I think its the 4th video on the support site. it says how to setup using installation assistant.

        BT likes to lock its modem/routers into router mode, no option for modem only.

         

        Some users resort to using a second router in AP mode, while others bin their HomeHub and get something more capable and controllable.
