microchip8,
Well some have claimed it works for them.....
ignore it and carry on with the issue if you will.....
I'm not saying it is right or wrong.....
Just voicing the claims of others....

The only reason I disabled WiFi prior to carrying out the update, was because I had around 15 devices all connected via WiFi at the time, everything from Amazon Echo/Dots, 3 mobile phones, Smart TV amongst others. I just couldn't see the point of introducing any potential issues during the firmware upgrade. Disabling WiFi just made me feel better if I'm honest. Disconnecting the four hardwired devices was again, just mitigating anything going wrong.
As I say, no one has to follow my method, it's not even advisory, I just though folks might find it useful.

I hear ya....
I just rebotted it, updated via wifi, performed a reset withing the webgui, rebooted multiple times with all my changes after. Now I'm back up and running. I hope for the best.
One big thing is that now all my devices are propely names now in the attached devices list which is huge. Maybe now QoS can actually be setup and work properly. I'll wait and see how things go. I have been shopping for a new triband router but if this is stables I will hold off because the range and performance is great on this even after its age.
