That's just saying that Wave 2 allowed devices to use up to 160hz channels. not that they had them. its a certification.

it also comes down to modulation and coding. Not just channel width. If you want to get into depth to under stand, go here:

What bothers me is that the press release says 160 Mhz, which unfortunately he cannot do.

Where do you see it supports 160hz?
its supports faster speeds because of the 1024-qam modulation.
