There is a newer version of the firmware version 1.0.11.116.
Also, the agreed upon stablest/fastest version is the 1.0.9.42 version.
With any changes tot he R7000 firmware, I recommend doing it over a hardwired connection and then doing a factory reset/clean install afterwards. By clean I mean don't use a backup configuration.

Are you connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?
5ghz is much faster but has shorter range.
2.4ghz is much much slower but broadcasts further and through more materials.
What device are you testing on?
Are you using smart connect?
What firmware is on the router?

I updated the firmware. That solved much of the issue but not all. Changing the 5Ghz to channel 48 (closest to 50 available) got the signal much stronger. The signal went from under 10Mbs to over 140Mbs while testing 4 wireless devices at the same time. Not bad. I will wait and test again tomorrow to make sure it was a perm fix. If it is still over 140 per device tomorrow, i will select the above post as a solution.
