I'm having this issue as well. Firmware on router is up to date. I removed my 1T portable and plugged in my new 4T Backup Plus (which is recognized by my Win10 pc) and router does not see it. I waited approx 30 minutes as suggested and it still did not show up.
Hi Stotz,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of the router?
2. Have you tried the other USB port (if applicable)?
3. Does the 4TB drive have a separate power adapter?
4. Does the USB LED light up on the router if the drive is connected?
5. What is the file format of the drive?
6. Have you tried partitioning the drive into smaller capacities?
