Yesterday we had to do a factory reset on the router because the password that you wrote down wasn’t working. When the router came back online, we have a red light for Wi-Fi. I can access the admin se...

I pushed the button several times over the course of an hour or so. With the WiFi light still red. I turned the router off for a few minutes then back on, still nothing. So I pushed the button once more just to make sure. Do I need to connect the computer again before it turns blue?
I used the nighthawk app went to settings and used smart connect but it never could find the router. The app, to me, is lacking some information and functions.

The manual Wi-Fi on/off button, pushed and held down for several seconds prior to releasing?
The Nighthawk application is of little or no value for configuration or troubleshooting.
How many years have you been using this R7000?
Are you comfortable your power adapter is in good condition along with the power source where you plug it in?
Are you sure you have the appropriate power adapter for your R7000?
- Capellam44May 20, 2024AspirantWe purchased the r7000 back in 2019. It was plugged in behind the piano with provided cords. The piano is along an outside wall so we leave an 18 inch gap and it has not moved. Other than using a vacuum wand to collect dust bunnies, the cords are undisturbed. To be sure we did get a new Ethernet cord to go between the wall and router.

Repeat question: The manual Wi-Fi on/off button, pushed and held down for several seconds prior to releasing?
- Capellam44May 20, 2024AspirantYes. The manual button was pressed down for severe seconds before releasing.
