    Hi huttler,

     

    Set the modem to bridge mode to make sure the IP that the router gets is private.

Hi huttler,

 

Make sure that the router is  not connected to another router. The IP address should be a public. What you have is a private which means the router is connected to the modem/router device.

    What are you suggesting? That I throw away the modem and connect the coxial cable into the RJ port?
