Out if interest, what do you expect this to give you?
I've never had problems with an R7000P on my second network, but there are people who prefer the R7000.

The Nighthawk R7000(AC1900) where the 2.4GHz stopped working. Updated firmware of router. Did so many things that I cannot remember them all. In the end, 2.4GHz still will not work. None of the 2.4GHz mobile devices in the house, printer & Alexa are two, will hook up.
The Nighthawk R7000P(AC2300) is suppose to handle more mobile devices & this router supports MU-MIMO, which I do not have now.

I doubt if you will notice a huge difference. How many wifi devices do you have in mind?
Not sure what "suppose to handle" means. To really beef up the number of wifi devices you'd probably need something like an Orbi, which also does Mesh, for "seamless" wifi.

Among experienced users, the R7800 is more popular than either of the R7000s.
However, the R7000P does come with bells and whistles that appeal to some people while annoying others. Things like Circle and Armor are new, but at the expense of features that have their fans, like DLNA.

The 2.4GHz to work.
The AC1900 would up and stop working on most days right around 10am.
Grandsons computer would be kicked off the network while he was doing school.
Now that the AC2300 is up & running, hope that does not happen anymore.
And hopefully a little more Stability when all the devices are up and running. With the AC1900, if too many devices where online, something would get kicked off.
