Reset password and user name on www.routerligin.net
I purchased a Netgear R8000 router that was used. I was able to register it wtih Netgear and I want to see if I need to upgrade the firmware. I go to www.routerlogin.net and found the default user ...

Here's a radical concept which works for some people:

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Reset" and/or "Factory Settings". Further reading might not hurt,
either.
ANTINODE... when I first read your hideous comment I just chocked your mentality up to being a dim lightbulb. I do not appreciate that language used and would appreciate it if you would simply refrain from making such rude and vulgar comments. There's a Reset button at the back of the router. Push it in for 5-10 seconds and release
- Thank you for your reply... I have reset the router but it won't reset, http://www.routerlogin.net/. The former owner set their log in at the website and I can't get in touch with the former owners.
