Here's a radical concept which works for some people:

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Reset" and/or "Factory Settings". Further reading might not hurt,
either.

There's a Reset button at the back of the router. Push it in for 5-10 seconds and release
