Respond to ping enabled when using vpn on R7000

Yesterday i downloaded latest firmware and issue still not fixed.Why is it netgear and every security expert says turn off responding to pings but when using vpn this option is not able to be disabled...

    Hi NightRouter,

     

    It is how OpenVPN is implemented on NETGEAR routers. It is greyed out when OpenVPN is enabled.
