So I recently just upgraded my internet speed to gigblast and bought a new modem to handle the speed CM1200 and after installing the modem now my router the nighthawk Ac1900 sends out a signal but al...

Firmware version? The current consensus seems to be that
V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 is a better bet than anything newer. To load
different firmware:Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for

another thing to check is if it was activated right. How many channels are locked on your modem connections page?
