Router keeps giving me "Router Password Reset"

i am faced with this same problem i have factory reset and set up the router again but still i get 

Router Password Reset

 
Your Device is disabled, Please try again in 5 minutes.

 

i have tried chrome and M$ EDGE and i don`t think it is reasonable to expect me to install another browser because of a clear fault with the firmware on the product.

 

i can access most settings through the nighthawk app on my phone its just on my desktop i am having the issue.

    Absolutely.

     

    But when I use Edge, the browser sometimes throws up its hand and complains about security. You see anything like that?

     

    When you set it up, did you disable "Password Reset"?

     

    As the router is on your local network, the only villains likely to break in are family and friends. And they will have to know the password for admin access.

     

    When do you see that message?

     

    What is the modem/gateway/ONT that connects the router to the Internet?

     

    What firmware version do you have?
