Router not producing signal

R7000P isn't producing a network signal (it doesn't show on iPhone, Mac, or the ISP installer's Android when he was here). I've reset it & the modem many times. I've turned the wifi on and off several times via the light button on the top.

The frustrating thing is the 2.4 & 5ghz lights are lighting up as if it's working. On the router settings page (accessed by direct connection) it shows the yellow exclamation sign and says "OFF" for wifi. I've tried a million things and nothing seems to work.

I bought this router second hand and this is the first I've tried setting it up. Judging by the person who sold it to me I truly think it worked when she used it previously.

Any ideas?

  • Was one of the million things you tried reflashing the firmware?  Identify the version presently on the router, download the kit from the download sections above and reflash from your direct connection.  If you have any USB devices connected to the router, best to unmount them and disconnect before starting.

If this does not get your Wi-Fi working, you could possibly try a newer firmware version if there is one.
