Router not receiving top speed from modem.

I have a modem from my internet provider. When I connect my modem directly to my laptop and do a Speedtest on my laptop I receive around 500 Mbps. When I connect my modem to my Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 AC3200 and do a Speedtest on my router I am only receiving around 325 Mbps. Why is my router not receiving and distributing the 500 Mbps available? Any thoughts?

    What modem do you have? 

    Firmware on the R8000?

    Make sure that qos, access control, parental controls, and traffic monitoring are all disabled and then reboot the router. Leave those services disabled
