routerlogin.dev : is it a virus?
i was trying to change my wifi name and pw but now i get constant spam of "buy some stuff and dl some stuff" from routerlogin.dev, which is different than what i initially searched. i can not find an...
it's a scam. Should be http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1
routerlogin.com is fine, too.
One day people learn not to follow some search suggestions, and even less try to search whatever search engine for such information. The Scam Mafia is waiting for you all....
right. i saw that option as well in my initial search. i simply do not recall typing .dev at any point. and now it pops up every few seconds. ift's maddening. im not very tech savvy and dont really know how to make it stop.
I have the same problem. I get all these pop up ads from routerlogin.dev. Not only is my compter running slow but so is my C7800 router. I keep getting messages about not enough bandwidth to stream movies and shows from time to time. What used to be a smoking faster router is not all jacked up. Please, if anybody knows how to get this s--t off my system let me know! Thanks!

"routerlogin.dev" is a scam web site. What interactions you might
have had with it are beyond my ken.

I know nothing about those invisible "messages", either. Nor
anything about the advertised speed of your Internet service, nor the
actual observed speed.
If you have some virus or malware on your (Windows?) system now, for
whatever reason, then that's a Windows problem, not a router or Netgear
problem.
i have at least learn to be cautious. hence my confusion. i checked and rechecked the suggestions i found and gained faith that it was safe. the difference is .net/com vs .dev. i did not enter .dev.
