RS200 to replace R7000P
I purchased the R7000P when it first come out. I check the fireware and it says it already has the updated fireware. I check the speed from my phone and the router and it around 1/4 of the speed it s...
what actual speeds are you getting with it? wifi isn't going to hit the same speeds as wired as there's distance, obstructions, interference, and overhead with wifi. Plus there's a difference in speed between the 2 bands.
The question is if the router is the bottle neck or the device you're testing with.
so:
1. what device are you testing on?
2. what band are you testing on?
3. what speeds do you pay for?
4. what speeds are you getting?
5. what site/app/etc are you using to test with?

2. what band are you testing on? I assume its 2.4Ghz, my change my phone to 5G
3. what speeds do you pay for? 50 MBPS, wired speed test is 59.8 Download, 11.3 Upload
4. what speeds are you getting? 12.9 Download, 3.2 Upload
5. what site/app/etc are you using to test with? South Slope (my internet provider speed test)

One good thing out of all this, is knowing your speeds. 50mbps isn't that fast and the R7000P can easily max those out. No need to upgrade unless you're needing more coverage and then an older generation AC mesh system would still max out your connection. What modem did south slope provide you or what do you use?
