Security - Blocking Sites Does Not Work - Nighthawk R8500

I have a Nighthawk R8500, firmware V1.0.2.160. Advanced>Security>Block Sites does not work - at all. Blocking is set to "Always". Keywords are domains and keywords. Example: YouTube, youtube,...

Most likely due to sites being HTTP(S) which NG routers can't block.

Might try using a DNS site service to help block sites, OpenDNS or NextDNS.

Also the R8500 is EoL:

I have a Nighthawk R8500 firmware version 1.0.2.160. Can confirm that the block feature DOES NOT WORK. I have tried domains, keywords, IP addresses, etc. Nothing is blocked. It's a useless feature. Who programmed this? An intern?
