Seemingly random disconnects
Hello attempting to solve a problem that's a minor issue but been plaguing my home network for the last half a year. Usually deal with the disconnect as it's gone within 5-30 seconds. (Duration seems...

Hi Zilfer,
Did you encounter the same problem with latest firmwares? If you haven't tried updating it, I would suggest to upgrade and check if that resolves your concern.

Seems to happen with the latest firmware yes. Takes me awhile to get back to you sorry about that.

We had started having issues with our Chromecast - 1st generation, so it only sees 2.4ghz. It will say it's connected, but there's no Internet flowing through it. I don't know what version of the firmware we were running at the time.
As of yesterday, my husband upgraded to V. 1.0.9.12 and as we attempted to utilize the Internet after that, 2.4ghz still isn't working, and 5ghz works most of the time, but in the middle of trying to watch Netflix on the TV (TV sees the 5ghz, has Netflix as an app) it will just suddenly cut out. I can see the wireless, and our modem (through Comcast) still has wireless turned on through it - that wireless is working, I can connect & have Internet, but the Nighthawk is getting no Internet through either channel.
Currently, my husband is in the process of doing a Factory Reset. I sent him a link for the ~1.0.4 firmware versions, which seem to be more stable. But for now, we're seeing if re-inputting info after FR will work.
We've had the r7000 for less than a year - since February, it worked really well in the beginning, because we had a lot of problems with the built-in wireless on the modem. I don't know what has changed between then and now, the issued started a couple of weeks ago - we hadn't made any changes since we got it, until updating the firmware yesterday. It's been set to auto on the channels.
So yeah, we're really confused & frustrated. Neither of us can game for very long before it craps put on us (both using 5ghz band).
