Select ethernet name on an R7900P Router
When I connect an ethernet cable to this router, it defaults to Netgear93; can I select a different name? If so, how?
Interestingly, I had MS working on the issue, and after much time, they said, "oh, that is assigned by the ISP." Since the Ethernet name is Netgear93 which is the default name in the Router, I assume that the name comes from Netgear not my ISP (Comcast).
Windows just fetches the hardware name ID of the router connected to it...
Makes sense, so do you know if the hardware name can be changed?
